In the course and scope of work
Worker’s compensation provides a percentage of your pay and related and necessary medical coverage. To qualify for it, you must have been injured while in the course and scope of your work, or in some cases while traveling to work. An employer must pay a percentage of your wages, if your doctor takes you off of work, and necessary and related medical care. If an employer refuses to follow the worker’s compensation laws by providing wages and necessary medical care, it may face penalties.
